You were going about your day thinking that the internet wouldn’t break because of Lady Gaga. I bet you didn’t care one iota if a new video featuring her leaks out and graces the Tumblrs, Vimeo, or YouTube pages set up.
Lady Gaga’s new sound had the potential to make her one of the most consistent and best artists of the decade. Instead, what we have are half-hearted choruses, rip-offs of herself and Madonna, and a weepy pop star who is barrelling forward to irrelevancy and parody faster than you can roll in a pile of meat and call yourself an artist. The video for Judas has leaked, and despite being tweeted about, discussed on the internet, and performed of Ellen – it is all kind of NYU student try-hard religious iconography making the best attempt it possibly can at shooting higher.
The best part of the video? Norman Reedus is still putting in work, aside from Boondock Saints and The Walking Dead. Other than that, it’s what you’d expect – a video about internal strife in biker gangs who, for like most biker gangs, let Lady Gaga hang out with them.
I thought they were too busy listening to Kiss, but whatevs.
