Donald Trump = Straight up Hypocrite

By James Sheldon on April 29th, 2011

Yeah. We’re all a bit hypocritical from time to time.

(Here’s the deal. Just as I said earlier in the year about Sarah Palin, I’m going to write this little diddy about Donald Trump, and then I’m never writing about him again.)

So. Trump. The Donald. The self-proclaimed billionaire who is planning to run for President of the United States of America in 2012. He seems to hate China. It’s almost as if he has some latent frustration with the Chinese people based on a bad massage experience at a supposedly reputable massage joint in lower Manhattan. I dunno. I don’t get statements like, “China is raping this country.” Which he said. I’m sure the Chinese people and Chinese government love hearing that.

Call me old fashioned, I just don’t see how such a statement serves for progression of the better good.

Sure, I get the frustration with our now obvious dependence on the cheap labor coming out of China, but raping us? Really? For Trump, he has stated repeatedly that he doesn’t buy that Chinese “crap.” According to The Donald, it falls apart just outside a year anyway.

Here’s your challenge, awesome Manolith readers. Go to a Macy’s this weekend, and check out the Donald J. Trump Signature Collection. Look at the labels in several of the clothing items and accessories. Oh yeah! Oh. yeah. Made in China. I believe I’ll rest my case.

Trump has often called his signature collection the pinnacle of fashion for men…if he means the pinnacle of Mt. Dogcrap, then I s’pose his claims are true.
