That’s right, MTV still doesn’t know what the hell is going on in the world around them – Jason Sudeikis has been tapped as the host for the MTV Movie Awards.
Jason Sudeikis entered into a contest with Owen Wilson earlier this year to see whose face was more punchable. That contest was a comedic outing that was titled ‘Hall Pass’, but really should’ve been called ‘Please Punch The Faces of Jason Sudeikis And Owen Wilson’. The ads for the movie should’ve been a booth with computers that you just stuck your fist in and they’d tell you how effective your face-punching had been in swaying the decisions of the two men to never again do a movie like Hall Pass.
Where Jason Sudeikis pops in, there are either going to be terrible sketches, overpronounced words, or women that he shouldn’t normally have access to cast as his love interest. Which makes him perfect for honoring the movies that MTV has put up for awards this year. Hosting honors the last two years have gone to Aziz Ansari and Andy Samberg.
All you need to know is that in each category, 19 different people/movies are nominated. It’s the equivalent of a high school poms competition, where everyone wins.
