Antoine Dodsen is the YouTube success story that captivated America last year – resulting in a hit record, hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of phone app licensing deals, and a house that he was able to buy his family to move them out of the ghetto. One thing it obviously didn’t result in? Good sense. Dodsen was pulled over in Alabama and cited for possessing marijuana, clearly doing that thing that California transplants do where they forget that marijuana laws in other states in the nation aren’t as progressive as California.
He was also booked for failing to appear in court on previous speeding charges.
Where do you think Antoine Dodsen is going to end up? Because chances are, it’s not going to be in a good place. I think every YouTube superstar is a timeline for inevitable self-destruction. Some of which might be captured on YouTube to complete a vicious repetitive cycle.
I hope someone releases the videotape of his booking so other people can autotune it. That would make my life.
