Movement To Send M. Night Shymalan Back School Gains Traction — May Be Stopped By Water

By Mark Lorenz on April 14th, 2011

An interesting movement is gaining momentum across the blogosphere – one to send filmmaker M. Night Shymalan back to film school.

M. Night Shymalan made a ton of money towards the front of his career, and possessed an air so arrogant, Newsweek decided to comment on it in a story about his upcoming films – which included Signs, Lady in the Water, The Happening, The Last Airbender….a string of movies which critics have been angrily pounding like a dead horse who told them ‘Battle : Los Angeles’ supplanted Truffaut’s films as ideals to be held to. He was arrogant to the point where he aired a Sci-Fi special saying that he has a buried secret….only to reveal that the special was a hoax, the secret was his ego, and the twist is that he’s only been able to make one good film over a decade. Now the internet is doing what it does best, instead of bickering, they’re hating. On M. Night Shymalan.

A movement on the internet to send Manny Shamalingadong back to NYU has been gaining momentum, and actually raising money. Which means that the internet has now raised money for people NOT to kill rabbits, to send M. Night Shymalan back to school, and for Rebecca Blacks’ college funds. Should M. Night choose not to go back to film school (oh, the internet wants someone to do something? Such incentive.), the money will be used to establish a scholarship fund in his name.
