Pearl Jam have just released expanded and restored editions of their classic 2nd and 3rd studio albums, VS. and Vitalogy. Both albums broke all initial Soundscan records and secured the band’s reputation as a preeminent force in American rock music.
Vs. and Vitalogy are now available in new Expanded Editions (featured three bonus tracks on each) or together in a three-disc Deluxe Edition (featuring Live at the Orpheum Theater, Boston, April 12, 1994) and Limited Edition Collector’s Box Set. Each album will also be released in new commemorative re-mastered vinyl editions on April 12th to coincide with Record Store Day 2011.
This week Sirius/XM’s Pearl Jam station will be featuring VS. and Vitalogy all week long on Sirius channel 17 and XM channel 39. Hear a special episode of “The All Encompassing Trip” with producer Brendan O’Brien Mon 3/28 at 6pm ET. Brendan returns on Wed 3/30 at 6pm ET as a Guest DJ. And hear full concerts from the Vs. and Vitalogy tours, including the 1994 show from Boston’s Orpheum Theater on Tue 3/29 at 8pm ET, plus bonus material from the new re-mastered albums all week long!
