Charlie Sheen’s Tour Bombs In Detroit

What’d you expect? Did you expect him to give a performance to rival a stand-up comedian, or even a cohesive narrative? No. He’s going to get onstage and unleash his crazy like a wizard unleashing a spell.

Charlie Sheen managed to get himself fired from the easiest job on television – reading lines for a three-camera sitcom on CBS. You could put a competition where people had to kick endangered animals through field goal arches, and it’d still rate highly – CBS crushes everyone else. Partially because Americans are too lazy to turn their televisions up from the lowest number they feature — that’s the only real logical explanation.

Charlie Sheen’s spoken word tour has been savaged by the press, and more unsurprisingly, the audience who attended. What’d the show consist of? Charlie Sheen showing clips from his dad’s movies, a movie he directed from back in the day with Johnny Depp, and pissing off people in Detroit by making fun of Detroit. All whilst chain-smoking and speaking incomprehensibly.

One audience member in attendance heckled Sheen, who replied, ‘Doesn’t matter, man. I already have your money.’

Charming, that one. Because of the first show being a disaster, Sheen is beefing up security for the next dates in Chicago and beyond.
