There’s been a war of words between two celebrities and, no, it’s Donald Trump and Whoopi Goldberg, if that’s what you’re thinking. Today’s feud is between talk show host/comedian George Lopez and Dancing with the Stars contestant Kirstie Alley.
Both individuals made jokes that hit well below the belt but some feel as though Kirstie Alley’s response to George’s comments calling her a pig was too far but I simply disagree.
Here’s how it all went down:
Kirstie gave a fantastic performance on Monday night’s season premiere of Dancing with the Stars only to have George Lopez tear her apart afterwards comparing her to a pig.
Here’s the video of George insulting Kirstie:
The former Cheers star was understandably offended and initially fought back with this comment via Twitter:
“Don’t worry about George’s comments…just remember what happens to the big bad, drunk woolf…falls in a boiling pot of vodka.Piggy laughs”
To which George replied, also via Twitter, “I misjudged the joke. No malice was intended and I apologize to Kirstie.”
Kirstie wasn’t buying the apology and kept the feud going with this comment:
“@georgelopez I don’t need or want ur apology…I want your kidney dude..on behalf of ur X and all the women uv insulted…give it back” followed by “I don’t consider “I misjudged the joke” an apology. sorta like a husband saying”I misjudged putting my dick in a whore” …sorry hon..hehe”
After all that (and a lengthy conversation with her publicist, I’m sure), Kirstie finally decided that all was forgiven and ended the feud with this message:
“take life as lightly as u can and then move on …even u George ….u are forgiven…..:)….”
I have to say I’m on Kirstie’s side here. She did absolutely nothing to deserve those comments in the first place. It was obviously difficult for her to take the stage and perform and bullies like George Lopez can’t resist but making fat jokes? Seriously?
If he can’t take the retaliation, he shouldn’t have sparked a war of words in the first place.
Whose side are you on?
