It’s time for Republicans to pick a challenger to Obama’s throne, and a frontrunner isn’t exactly emerging. Between Sarah Palin shooting at bears on her television shows to show that she’s one of us, Newt Gingrich forgetting his political and marital past and thinking it’s a good idea, and Mitt Romney beating up the members of LMFAO, this coming election year is poised to be a good one. Because it’s rife for comedy.
Gaffes now include Mike Huckabee saying that Obama’s upbringing influences his foreign policy – raised by his Kenyan father. In Kenya. Which gives him a much different view than most Americans. Which is an interesting quote in two ways.
- Obama wasn’t raised in Kenya.
- What person WOULDN’T be influenced by their upbringing?
The disturbing part is that Huckabee thought someone WOULDN’T be influenced by their upbringing. Like they were raised in a tiny bubble that makes them immune from life. And yeah, it gives him a different view – he can locate Kenya on a map.
