Christina Aguilera is my new hero. After botching the words at the Super Bowl, she took time out of her day to fall off of a stage in a fashion that would’ve made Chevy Chase proud.
You have to respect Christina Aguilera. For not only having one of the most powerful voices in modern music, but for consistently choosing the wrong songs to showcase it in – she hasn’t been given a good song since ‘Beautiful’, really. And beyond that made her money off of teenage songs and the Mulan soundtrack – she’s basically held in esteem for having an awesomely powerful voice and terrible judgement, which she showed again at the Grammy’s by not recognizing the basics of depth perception. After performing a tribute to Aretha Franklin, Aguilera did her own tribute to Keith Moon, falling off of the stage directly after performing. Directly after performing. Face-planting immediately after she sings is probably not new to her as a person, but as a viewing audience, no matter how brief, it’s GOLD. GOLD.
So supposedly stories have been leaking out about her drinking too hard, her staff being unable to tell her, but good for her. This is the most interested I’ve ever been in Christina Aguilera.
