Her name is Eliza Kruger, and she’s the daughter of Connecticut hedge fund man Konrad “Chip” Kruger. She’s 17 years old. Those are the social vitals.
Mark Sanchez? He’s 24. QB for the Jets. Yep–you’re well aware.
The two met at NYC’s nightclub Lavo on New Year’s Eve, and according to non-journalistic sources, they immediately developed a rapport through conversation. That conversation supposedly involved Miss Kruger letting the Jets quarterback know that she was 17. He casually played it off, stating that they could still talk, but he couldn’t see her until she was 18.
(Seriously, what is up with AFC bachelor QBs and the underage thing?)
Kruger, being the savvy gal that she seems to be, let Mark in on a little nugget of awesome, informing him that in New York, 17 is the age of consent. It’s true, it is. And it’s 16 in New Jersey. That explains a lot, doesn’t it? I suppose it makes as much sense as an 18 year old being “legal” in the eyes of a state and/or federal government.
At that, Mark and Eliza struck up a little something-something that included tickets to the Bills v. Jets game, and a rendezvous at his pad in Jersey…which is “on a golf course.” Sweet. I just knew he liked golf.
According to Eliza, Mark has genuine interest based on the fact that she got a text at 2 a.m. following the Jets loss to Pittsburgh in the AFC Championship Game on January 24. Considering the fact that she had school the following morning, she declined the meet-up.
She doesn’t want the media attention, however–she doesn’t want to be slapped with that target. Here’s a little advice, because I know she’s only 17: Don’t give interviews about your high-profile hook-ups if you don’t want the ravenous American media + Ines Sainz to start stirring the Kool-Aid.

You girl... Why this had to do a big number?! Idiot? In Finland, 16 years old can not complain anymore.
