Black Eyed Peas Super Bowl Halftime Show Receives Mixed Reviews (Watch)!

Did you watch the Super Bowl 2011 halftime show last night featuring the Black Eyed Peas? The popular group took the stage to belt out the lyrics to some of their most popular songs (including Tonight’s Gonna be a Good Night and Dirty Bit) and it seems as though viewer reactions to the event are mixed.

The show featured short performances of each of their hits, combined with surprise appearances from Usher and Slash.

The Peas (and Usher) experienced some audio and microphone difficulties during their performance but they shouldn’t really be blamed for poor audio, should they?

Overall, I thought the Black Eyed Peas did a good job during last night’s show (and Usher too – I mean, did you see his jump off the stairs and into the splits – wow!). I think they were a great pick to perform as they have millions of fans that reach across many generations.

Did you watch the Super Bowl halftime show last night? If so, what did you think of the Black Eyed Peas performance?

Here it is for those of you who didn’t catch it – or for those of you who want to see it again:

  1. That was possibly the worse half time entertainment in the history of the game. Lets get some class and cater to football fans shall we? McCartney was outstanding, ZZ Top was amazing, Prince has genuine talent…so many to chose from yet we end up with idiots jumping around like monkeys.

  2. I thought that the halftime show was great. I don’t know what some folk want. I am sick of rock music at Super Bowls. Boring. The show was cutting edge. So many hit songs. I don’t expect everyone to like this type of music but keep your mouths shut sometimes, as I do when they feature country music or rock music. It’s not always about YOU.
