Lupe Fiasco has promised controversy, nope not charity, not happiness – big ole controversy. Because no one has NEVER done that before in music.
Lupe Fiasco just released his second single from his much anticiapted album, Lasers. The song was produced by Alex da Kid and features Skylar Grey on the hook. Lasers is scheduled to be released on March 8, 2011.
I have to say though, the song is amazing – still the fiasco we know and love but with much harder lyrics.

What I think it is that it's not accurate to call a man's words of truth "controversial".... It's filled with accurately proven facts. That is not controversy. That is truth, that is fact.

I think arguing the truth of his lyrics isnt the point.Those are his opinions whether you believe them or not they arent necessarily the driving idea behind the song.The song is about saying what you think,expressing your opinions and voicing your beliefs.Its about regretting not doing so,and aobut how peoples voices can change things,but nothing will ever change if you stay silent.

well imo.. songs dope, and lupe is my artist.. but i wud give this song more respect.. if the song was called actions i never took because those words have been said before, not trying to downplay lupe.. glenn beck is a racist, limbaurgh is a racist..duh jus turn on CNNN.. third verse was chills, but song is good.. but the title is misleading.. if u talk the talk, u might as well walk the walk... he should be an activist, like immortal technique, pac che de gueverra.. cuz talk is cheap

how can you call these controversial lyrics? getting at the truth is controversial? the truth itself it controversy in its own, all the hidden secrets that the high class people are keeping away from the people of the world. and the lack of action being taken to stop the things going on it the world. Lupe speaks the truth and is taken the game to a level that has never been seen before hence why i love lupe.

Guys, Lupe Fiasco HIMSELF called the lyrics "controversial". The article is just following through with Lupe's own words. Also you guys are seeing the wrong connotation of controversy. I'm bad at explaining, and Lupe speaks punny. So I'm not going to explain the connotation he is going for since I do not know how to do it in a clear and concise way.

I'm not so sure most of you understand what controversial means, or for some reason you all seem to think that controversy implies lack of truth, when it has absolutely nothing to do with that. Something can be true AND controversial, in fact many times true things are controversial. controversial: giving rise or likely to give rise to public disagreement

I think this new album is all about the truth, Lupe has all my respect, just for the fact that he chose to not comform and stick by his own beliefs. To me that just shows me what his made up of. Power to him!

lupe fiasco is the best artist, the only one not afraid to say the truth no matter how controversial it is, the only one who seems to care about what's going on in the world, the only one who doesn't keep singing about women, cars, money, grudges and sex... and that's why he's the best.
