Imagine coming across THIS while taking a stroll around your condo complex.
A 5-foot, 45lb monitor lizard was caught roaming a Riverside condo complex yesterday. Animal control officer Jenny Selter showed up to manage the situation but, even she, was terrified of the creature at first.
John Welsh, spokesman for the Riverside County Animal Services said Jenny “saw it and almost jumped back in her truck.” He continues, “The residents were freaking out because here’s the Godzilla-like creature walking down the sidewalk.”
So how exactly did the monstrous monitor lizard come across a busy condominium complex? Well, the confused creature appears to be someone’s pet.
“We suspect that it’s been someone’s pet for a long time, because it’s so big,” says Jenny. “I think they might let it wander around the house.”
Maybe they let it roam around the house but they definitely need to keep their pet in check. Nobody wants to pay thousands of dollars for a lawsuit sparked by their pet’s out-of-control behavior – just ask Sam Ronson.
