Mila Kunis was blind in one eye for years.
It’s true. Suffering from chronic iritis, inflammation of the iris, her vision was basically non-existent in one eye for several years, including during the filming of the recent thriller, Black Swan. She recently had a lens replacement surgery that corrected the issue, though I had always suspected………………
I met Mila once. As a matter of fact, it was during the beginning of the Macaulay Culkin/Mila Kunis courtship. It was on the set of Party Monster, and I was a young buck doing some work on the film.
I was one of the Club Kids, dressed in a red bikini with white polka-dots, fishnet tights, 8-inch platform, combat boots and full Geisha make-up. Mind you–if I can toot my own horn–I was in excellent shape back then. Not good shape…excellent shape.
We were just about to launch into this enormous club scene when I looked to my right, and there was this tiny little gal kind of hiding behind my own 6-foot-plus-8-inches of freakish monstrosity. It was Mila Kunis. Maybe 19/20 year old Mila Kunis. That 70′s Show, Mila Kunis. Totally crashing the scene. She immediately addressed me.
“You look really good.”
“Seriously. The bikini. Very manly. Very masculine.”
“Yeah…it’s the fishnets.”
After they got the shot, I grabbed a buddy:
“Mila Kunis from That 70′s Show just complimented my bikini.”
“What? Where is she? What’s she doing here?”
“She’s with Home Alone. They’re a thing.”
“What? No…? Is she blind?”
(To clear my conscience…many props to Macaulay Culkin. That guy has put up with/puts up with more crap than anyone I have ever seen in the public arena. Including the definitive kid we all knew in grade school who would occasionally pee his pants during recess.)
