In awards season, it’s an honor just to be nominated – unless you’re nominated for a Razzie, aka the ‘Golden Raspberry Awards.’ The Razzies celebrate the worst films of the year – in this case 2010 – and the nomination ballots have just been sent out.
So which films made the shortlist?
‘Little Fockers,’ ‘Sex and the City 2,’ ‘The Expendables,’ ‘Grown Ups,’ ‘Clash of the Titans,’ ‘Killers,’ ‘The Bounty Hunter,’ ‘Yogi Bear,’ ‘Jonah Hex,’ ‘The Last Airbender,’ ‘Vampires Suck,’ and ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,’ have the dishonor of being named in the ‘Worst Picture’ category, Pop Eater reports.
However, the film ‘Burlesque’ scored the most Razzie nominations, despite being spared from the ‘Worst Picture’ category.
The film’s star, Christina Aguilera, earned a nod in the ‘Worst Actress’ category, with Cher and Kristen Bell facing off for the ‘Worst Supporting Actress’ award. ‘Burlesque’ is also nominated for Razzies in the ‘Worst Supporting Actor (Cam Gigandet),’ ‘Worst Screenplay,’ and ‘Worst Director,’ categories.
Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba, Emily Blunt, George Lopez and Mickey Rourke have found themselves among the actors and actresses who made the Razzie shortlist.
The awards show has even added a new category to the mix this year, thanks primarily to the latest 3-D craze: ‘Worst Eye-Gouging Misuse of 3-D.’ ‘Piranha 3D,’ ‘Resident Evil: Afterlife,’ and ‘The Nutcracker 3D’ have made their way onto the ballot, and are likely nominees.
