OMG! Usher Vs Homer Simpson in Plagiarism Suit? (Listen!)

D’oh!  DJs at a radio station in Mississippi are accusing Usher of plagiarism after noticing some curious similarities between Usher’s summer smash, ‘OMG’ and a Christmas Carol sung by Homer Simpson in a holiday themed episode of ‘The Simpsons’, which first aired back in 2003.

The radio station believes two lines from Usher’s single wound exactly like the lines in Homer’s Christmas song, and have even created a mash-up of the two songs in an attempt to expose Usher’s alleged plagiarism.

While Usher’s song features lyrics like, “Honey got a booty like pow, pow, pow.  Honey got some boobies like wow, oh wow.”  Homer sings “Christmas in December, wow wow wow.  Give me tons of presents now now now.”

This isn’t the first time Usher has been accused of stealing another artist’s work. Last month, songwriter Wadena Pyatt, accused the R&B star and Alicia Keys of swiping her song ‘Caught Up’ for Usher’s ‘Confessions’ record. Wadena is demanding damages and profits received from sales of the track [via Pop Crunch].
