Kanye’s ‘Monster’ Video Premieres

By Mark Lorenz on December 30th, 2010

Something that we don’t get enough of in life? Dead models hanging from the ceiling. Stylistically. Cause, you know, being around a bunch of dead models means that you’re awesome — or you’ve poisoned a Starbucks in Soho.

For those of you who have been really feeling the void, here comes Kanye West on his heroic motorcycle – willing to give you the art you didn’t consider weird previously. The ‘Monster’ video has premiered. What can you expect? If you’re too faint of heart to click the link at the top, let me assure you, there’s nothing horrifying about the video – provided you love the sight of dead, skinny women. Did they die from being too skinny? No. It’s inferred that Kanye killed every single one of them with his fancy wordplay.

Or they fell between Rick Ross’ titty folds, never to be seen again. The video has cameos by Jay-Z, Ross, and Nicki Minaj in support of their verses.

I feel like the video’s shot well, but it’s just putting the dumbest slant you possibly can on rap videos. Like, instead of video vixens shaking their ass, let’s just paint them like they’re dead. And then they can just lay there. Looking pretty.a

Because that’s what women are good for. So sayeth Lord Kanye.
