Have you ever wondered why most songs that hit the radio could double as anthems for strippers? Why the top 40 consists primarily of men barking at people to shake their ass and titties?
You might’ve noticed that most of the songs on the radio are about women doing things like dancing for people in thongs, jiggling their booties, and going for dollar bills. Women as a whole don’t usually follow that step-by-step and handy guide to living – but strippers do. Turns out, the reason most 99% of what you hear is strip club music is due to the fact hip hop producers are trying to disseminate their hits and break songs at strip clubs.
Hip hop producers have been using Atlanta stripclubs as a place to break their songs in the hopes that they’ll make the top 40 – a method that worked for Lil’ Jon and the Eastside Boyz with their 2003 hit ‘Get Low’. When asked to comment on the matter, Lil’ Jon said, and I quote, ‘The butts don’t lie,” meaning that if a stripper will dance to a song, it’s got hit potential.
So if you’re ever angry about contemporary music being not-so-hot, you don’t have to blame Clear Channel or Timbaland or Dr. Luke. All you have to blame are strippers with poor taste.
