AND HE HAS NO OVARIES. IT’S A MIRACLE.
Elton John has had a great year, and now to cap it off – he has a son.
A lot of breath and ink is expended on contemporary pop stars and hyperbolizing their stage shows, their abilities, and their music – but Elton John is still cranking out great shows in his early 60’s. Contemporary artists like Lady Gaga and the Scissor Sisters are trying their hardest to sound just like him. He’s still cutting new albums, and writing songs for musicals. The man probably won’t stop until he keels over, still stepping to the beat of so many blues and jazzmen that he’s admired…and he should be applauded for it.
And now, he and his partner David Furnish have a new reason to celebrate – they got the gift of a baby on Christmas day. He’s 7 pounds, 15 ounces and named Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John.
Which pretty much means he will take over the world. He has two stylish fathers, one of whom he can count as the biggest pop stars of all time, and the name Levon. What could be better?
John was recently in the news for recording a duet with Lady Gaga that’ll be in the Disney flick Gnomeo and Juliet – a love story with gnomes. It’s a weird place for their collaboration, but judging by his height, if there’s one thing Elton John knows, it’s love stories with gnomes.
