Rules of Engagement actress Bianca Kajlich and her former husband, Team USA soccer star Landon Donovan have been separated for over a year but they’re about to enter a bitter divorce battle that could destroy any hope of maintaining a friendship after the split.
The couple, who released a statement insisting they “remain the closest of friends and will always be important parts of each other’s lives” married in 2006 and separated in October of 2009.
Fans of the couple were hopeful for reconciliation earlier this year when it appeared they were getting back together but just days after these reports surfaced, Donovan was accused of fathering a love child with a (unidentified) British woman.
Luckily, Donovan proved he was not the father of the baby but hopes of reconciling with Bianca at that point were destroyed.
While the pair insists they “remain the closest of friends,” the divorce is already getting ugly. With Donovan seeking spousal support and attorney fees, this situation is likely to get worse before it gets better.
After all, why does a highly successful, professional soccer player need spousal support anyway?
Can’t imagine that Bianca is pleased with her former husband’s greedy demands.
