Survivor fans were anxiously waiting to see who took home the title of Survivor winner 2010 (Nicaragua) and the lucky contestant securing the million dollar prize was fan favorite Fabio!
Five contestants made it to the finale episode: Holly, Dan, Sash, Chase and Fabio. The first tribal council was held and Dan was voted out. Holly followed soon after, being eliminated in the second tribal council of the finale. The final three (Fabio, Chase and Sash) proceeded to the final tribal council where they sat before the jury and plead their cases in hopes of taking home the cash prize.
In the end, it was Fabio who came out on top, which shouldn’t come as much of a surprise considering he was a strong player physically and mentally (he won three immunity challenges in a row and was liked by most members on the jury).
The 21-year-old model/student from Los Angeles California is the youngest playerever to win Survivor but he seemed to think he would win by more votes than he did. He had the following to say about the news:
“From how I felt down in Nicaragua, going through all the angles or whatever, I really thought I was going to win by a little more. It’s all good, dude. I would rather it be super close. … As you could see, I was sweating. My armpits were going crazy. I was nervous.”
