Go Watch Tron — Right Now.

This weekend, a sequel to one of the 80’s biggest cult smashes will open. And it should smash the box office. Tonight is the first night that young Jeff Bridges will be unleashed on the world – and it will be good.

Tron was a pivotal film for Disney back in the 80’s – but it never gained the sort of box office traction to make it an immediate hit. But thankfully, Hollywood has decided to remake everything – and occasionally they get it right. Based on initial reviews of the production, though, it might’ve been good to hire less visual effects hands and focus on more rewrites, but who cares? Nobody who goes to see Tron : Legacy is going to pay much attention to the script. They’re going to want to see things go whiz and zoom, Olivia Wilde’s glowing breasts and a struggle between good and evil. They’re going to want to eat Milk Duds FROM THE FUTURE.

And will not be dissuaded, no matter how many negative reviews creep up on Rotten Tomatoes.

Go see Tron : Legacy in IMAX. It’s supposed to be the most intense IMAX experience one can subject themselves to, until AVATAR : The Porno makes their rounds.
