Fox News Viewers Are STILL The Least Informed

Hey, do you not have eyes, ears and a discerning sense of when people are trying to influence your actions and rhetoric? Then you may be shocked, SHOCKED to hear the results of a recent survey.

Fox News viewers are the least informed about political issues. Although I doubt that’s a surprise to anybody at this point – the results from these surveys are more consistent than taxes and the seasons. If you air something on Fox News, it will go through five-eight brain filters that have been set up to protect somebody from running outside and chewing on bark, for that is their natural reaction. Some people watch Fox News because they have a morbid sense of curiosity, but they’re harming the greater good. In a study conducted at the University of Maryland, researchers found that increased viewing of Fox also lead to an increase of misinformed opinions. And what did Fox News? They tried to game the University of Maryland, by doing the exact thing they do with every news story – casting aspersions in their direction.

Fox News’ senior VP for news remarked–

The latest Princeton Review ranked the University of Maryland among the top schools for having ‘Students Who Study The Least’ and being the ‘Best Party School’ – given these fine academic distinctions, we’ll regard the study with the same level of veracity it was ‘researched’ with.

– it’s like they can’t turn the switch off, can they?

  1. Pressing4Truth says:

Perhaps if the other networks and CNN were a lot LESS prejudiced toward the liberal left, then Fox could be less to the right. “fair is balanced!” . Fox network is the ONLY place I heard any information about Barrack Obama’s shady associations and past. Why?

Now we know why. Just like many commentators on Fox said, he is a socialist trying to remake America.

Too bad the other media did not “vet” Obama with the same intensity that they attacked Sarah Palin, then perhaps the U.S. might not be in the state it is in.

  2. Well, thanks for proving the point, bro.

  3. Is Pressing4Truth’s comment for real? It almost looks like a setup. If it IS for real, then the article is dead-on accurate.

  4. Robert Moskowitz says:

Not only is “Pressing4Truth”‘s comment real, but on other sites (not sure about this one) you will see organized series of comments in response to factual assertions about Fox and the organized Right. Comment after comment after comment spewing venom, misstatements of facts, and assertions that Right Wing Talking Points are the truth. Just like the Right disrupted Town Hall meetings on Health Care with shouted attacks and false facts, these right=wing comments crowd out the opportunity for people to agree with what has been posted.

  5. I wish we had an educational system that actually taught- by way of expressing ideas, discussing reasons(economic, historical, and philosophical), debating and finally defining political systems correctly. Socialism is not government control. That’s a dictatorship. It is a government that provides for it’s citizens. Employee-ownership is socialistic. When United Airways went bankrupt, the employees took control. Fox News makes up it’s own definitions – and know that most Americans are politically inept. Hell, most don’t bother to vote! And since this is a racist, bigoted country – Fox is great at invoking irrational fears. President Obama’s shady past – with experiencing other cultures, getting admitted to and graduating Harvard on his own, and turning down a lucrative position to help those in need on Chicago’s South Side – I’m sick of people degrading his intelligence and ethnicity.
