Really, America? This is what we have to pass off as entertainment, because the only people buying records are like, 14 years old? Justin Bieber is the AMA’s Entertainer Of The Year.
I don’t know what that says the most about – America, the people who actually watch and vote for the AMA’s (which aren’t much, allegedly, as the telecast dropped down to record lows), or…I don’t know. SERIOUSLY? Justin Bieber? What the hell has he contributed to the modern canvas, except for one more teen pop star with terrible songs lip-synching and being trained to dance like a monkey. There have been amazing music acts this year – Sleigh Bells, Janelle Monae, hell, even NELLY – and Justin Bieber is the entertainer of the year?
There’s already a ceremony committed to giving the most soulless, money-grubbing entertainers awards that they didn’t really deserve, based off of album sales – it’s called The Grammys. We don’t need any more of them.
I hope you enjoy your awards. Your meaningless, hollow awards. I’m going to sit here and listen to the Velvet Underground and remember a time when music was actually good and not just a fashion statement.

I understand where you are coming from. All award shows have become the teen choice awards because teen girls are the only people who vote, however your statments about Beiber lip synching and being talentless are untrue. There are many teens even more talented than Bieber but he is not completly inept. He plays the drums, piano and guitar, writes most of his music, and seems to be very hardworking. I am not a fan of Bubblegum pop, but he is only 16, cut the kid some slack. I agree he should not have been entertainer of the year but Justin gets a lot more hate than he deserves.

Justin Bieber does not lip sing, he has true talent. He plays 4 instruments,writes songs, & dances. Just because young girls are buying the album doesn't mean he should win,because what there vtes don't count? Find something better to do then criticize a hard working, talented, 16 year old. Who won the most awards.
