It’s the moment that everybody’s been waiting for – Disney starlet Miley Cyrus has turned 18. Right on time for her parents to divorce, and for her to unleash her inner, uh, starlet.
Miley was the once-star of the show Hannah Montana, a vehicle for her to wear wigs, launch a line of albums, fashion gear, and other somesuch – and eventually transition into acting. Which is going to be difficult to do — considering that all of her fare where she has to act in roles where she DOESN’T wear wigs have been thrashed by a chorus of critics. She’s even gone and got a delicious milkshake named after her at Millions of Milkshakes in West Hollywood. But now, she’s officially legal.
Wait a minute, is America retarded? She was legal two years ago in most states. Now she’s legal for loving in the state of California – so if you’re into that, go for it. She apparently likes having older boyfriends.
So here’s to you, Miley Cyrus. You’re a former child star. You’re legal now. People will forget Hannah Montana in a number of years, and I don’t know what you’re going to do, but good luck to you.
Gentlemen, start your engines.

Her movies thus far have grossed close to $700 million and she is currently making $10 million per movie. I don't think she's too worried about what the critics say, or what you say, Mark, for that matter. She's just finished one that will be coming out in early 2011 and is starting on another in December. Mark, I bet you said the same things about Britney Spears, Christina Aguelera and Justin Timberlake, but people keep buying their music and going to their movies. Maybe the people know something that the critics, and you, don't.
