It’s a good week to be Ryan Reynolds.
Not only has he been named PEOPLE Magazine’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive,’ the full-length trailer for his summer blockbuster film, ‘The Green Lantern’ is being viewed like crazy.
And though the ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ title will only serve to “give my family entry into teasing me for the rest of my life,” Ryan joked, The Green Lantern trailer could mean big benefits for his movie career – and potentially future ‘Sexiest Man’ titles – if fans embrace the film.

Aliens. Explosions. Action! The movie appears to have the makings of any great superhero flick. Plus, from the looks of the trailer, there are lots of shots of Ryan in his underwear which may just be the best reason of all to check out the film.
Ryan plays test pilot Hal Jordan, who is granted a mystical green ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers and membership into an intergalactic squadron responsible for keeping peace with in the universe.
The Green Lantern also stars Blake Lively, as Hal’s love interest Carol Ferris and Peter Sarsgaard as the movie’s villain, Hector Hammond. The film will be released in the summer 2011.
