Props to Johnson. I remember him with the Saints. He was one of the few Ivy League guys who played a hands position and survived in a league in which the average player makes it less than 5 years. Now, he’s takin’ his talents to a different realm–a marriage to Jessica Simpson.
Johnson popped the question, Simpson said yes–they had been dating for 5 months. Both have been married before, and Johnson just came out of a marriage in the past year–a divorce that was finalized in September. Not to worry, Simpson fans, he was a pro football player, not a basketball payer–this can’t just be a rebound… Where’s my drummer when I need one?
Joe Simpson, Jessica’s interesting father, wishes Jessica and Eric “…a lifetime of happiness and joy,” which ironically is the same thing he wished for she and Nick Lachey. Simpson is currently hosting “The Price of Beauty,” on VH1. Is that show any good? Worth watching?
Eric Johsnon–not really sure what he’s up to. He was drafted by the 49ers in 2001, and played with them through 2006. He signed with the New Orleans Saints in 2007, was re-signed but later cut in 2008. I’m sure with that Yale education, he took his NFL money, and it has already made more for him than what he actually made playing in the league.
Anyone else remember Jessica Simpson rapping about Tony Romo earlier this year on Letterman? How she still enjoys watching his “cute butt” on the football field? Yeah, she said that in March. March of 2010.
What I’m most excited about–this will be the 5th Jessica Johnson that I know…of.
