Now Facebook is going to have even more access to your personal information. They’re going to be able to transform themselves into Skynet – or they’re launching an e-mail arm to their conglomerate. Take your pick.
Fresh before Apple’s world-changing announcement that’s coming tomorrow (speculation abounds) – Facebook has decided that they’re going to integrate new systems for messaging, because, and this is DIRECTLY FROM ZUCKERBERG – e-mail is too slow. We’ve officially hit the Futurama point, where e-mail and instantaneous communication isn’t instantaneous enough. There needs to be more instant instant communication. Zuckerberg outlined Facebook’s plan in a surely interesting, corporate rundown, namely that…
–@facebook.com will be turned into an e-mail address
–you can have seamless messaging across many different technological fronts, including SMS, Facebook messaging, chat, and whatever other sources you can think of
–it will do everything it can to facilitate real-time communication
Yay, technology. For killing any iota of suspense that human interaction can leave. I’m excited, though – this’ll give you even more of a way to stalk people on Facebook. You can now message them on their phone through your Facebook. Think of the possibilities. You’ll just be looking at pictures of people in hot Halloween costumes on your mobile phone, texting them, whilst hiding outside of their house.
It’s gold, Zuckerberg, gold.
