President Bush Can Sell Books

By Mark Lorenz on November 11th, 2010

Ex-President Bush has written a book. Yes. I’m as shocking as you are. More shocking? That people want to read former President Bush’s book.

I imagine it’d be a collection of drawings that he did haphazardly during cabinet meetings. The drawings and doodlings which prevented him from doing his actual job as President. Remember that? Remember when we had to live in constant fear that he’d give the wrong command, stumble over Air Force One’s pilots, and manage to destroy the entire world?

It’s a good thing we don’t have those concerns anymore. Now we just have to worry about whether or not his written word will be able to reach the outside. We shouldn’t censor President Bush, just keep him in a safe box where he’s unharmed, but unable to rule. Or pass along any information he managed to garner whilst ruling. G. W.’s new book ‘Decision Points’ managed to move 170,000 hardcovers on Tuesday, making it Random House’s single-most best-selling hyphenated day for about six years. All this makes it on track to be the fastest-selling adult hardcover book from Random House.

Even more surprising? The fact that so many audiobooks were sold. Not so surprising considering that the people who probably like G.W. Bush are unable to hear.

When I was in elementary school, we called who spouted off like you have a dummy. It's obvious you don't know what you're talking about on President Bush. (I know it looks like I'm personally attacking you instead of critiquing your writing, but that's what you did to President Bush in your article.)

Are you 'challenged' in some fundamental way or just another in a seemingly endless line of pseudo-sophisticated propagandists who mindlessly repeat whatever is the latest rant from Daily Kos or Huffpo ? Because if it's the former ---- my sympathy for your obvious ongoing difficulties, but if it's the latter and you are just being your juvenile snide self ----- get stuffed. If you wouldn't mind. This was supposed to be a book review not a view into your clearly sad little soul.

I am smart educated woman and I miss President Bush more every single day. You really show your ignorance by judging and maligning others who may not agree with your political leaning.
