Centurion Review | Movie Reviews

Centurion is set in Britain, A.D. 117. The Romans, struggling to contain the Picts in Caledonia sends their best army, the Ninth Legion to fight them off.

The Picts are savages, and they surprise the Romans with a vicious fight. If blood and gore isn’t your thing, this probably isn’t the best movie for you. I did have to put my sandwich away mid movie, but that doesn’t take away from the brilliant fight scene. When the fight is over we’re left with a handful of soldiers who must find their way back to the border alive.

Overall, Centurion is a pure action flick. You got blood, guts, a little big of a love story there but not much depth in the story plot. I wouldn’t dismiss it though; it’s definitely a sweet looking film and a worthwhile watch especially if you’re into the genre.
