Voting Locations Available…Through Google Maps

By James Sheldon on November 2nd, 2010

Technology. It’s sweet.

If you want to know where you’re supposed to vote, it has never been easier to find the answer. I’ll even hyperlink the sucker for you–RIGHT HERE. Yeah, it’s just Google Maps.

Type in your address and then you can get your vote on. You should definitely vote–so you feel like you’re actually an important cog in the runaway machine that has become the United States state and federal governments.

Sorry. I suppose I sound bitter. But I’m not. Just jaded. Spittin’ truth–as I perceive it.

Let’s see here. We’ve got some big elections going down across the USofA, and personally, I’m writing my own name in for California Governor. I’m serious. Meg Whitman or Jerry Brown? Those are our options?

How come we can’t get a “Rent is Too Damn High” party representative on the west coast? Preferably one who hasn’t shown antisemitic tendencies?

You get what I’m saying here? Can we not just get a normal person in office? A George Washington type? One reluctant to possess the power of public office, but honored to sit in the seat, offering reverence to the position? Policies and platforms being pushed, endless arguments about being a conservative or liberal, a this or that and 2 more years from now, it’ll still be busted.

Regardless, here’s my honest opinion if you want it–if not, you can move on to the next slice of entertainment via Manolith: Should you get out there and vote? Sure–if you want to. And if you don’t, then don’t. Or if you have to work a double to keep food on the table and a roof over your head and can’t make it to a polling site, then my thoughts are with you–because you’re the people that I admire. You’re my celebrities.
