Prop 19 May Not Pass

By Mark Lorenz on November 2nd, 2010

Man, you need to get out and go to the polls. Because, man. This is an important issue. If you don’t get out and vote, I’m going to take a bong rip and lecture you.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like California’s Prop 19 is going to pass, which would make any and all marijuana possession legal. We fortunately already have cards that you can purchase for a menial fee and enthusiasm – cards which’ll make possession legal. But you have to put yourself in a database that could be searched by the government, or anybody with a computer. Heavy, man. Despite overwhelming support on the internet (read: people reposting on internet forums over and over and over again), and everyone in the country looking to whether or not California will lead the way in yet another issue. We’re already way ahead on tech utopias.

But 49% of people are against the measure. There are 49% of the population determined to be harshing your mellow. 42% of people are for the measure, and 9% either didn’t respond or were too high to articulate a response.

Supports of Prop 19 say that it’d create a strong economic base for California, encourage tourism, and generally make it a more fun place to be. Opponents say…

..really terrible things, probably. VOTE 19.
