Two More Avatar Sequels On The Way

Good news for anyone that enjoys 10-foot-tall blue people running towards you and brain-raping dragons. You can count on more sequels shooting your way. Straight into your 3D eyes.

James Cameron has revealed that he’s doing the sequels to Avatar. No word on when they’re going to be released – but initial estimates put it at around 2023 and then 2029. For the sequels. So James Cameron will be in his 80’s by the time the last one gets out, and Sigourney Weaver will be fresh at his heels. If you weren’t one of the people who saw Avatar, which inexplicably grossed over 2 billion dollars at the box office, you missed a movie that contained unobtanium, Sam Worthington, unfulfilled side stories, and a lot of graphics. So many graphics.

Cameron has hinted that the sequel might take place on one of the water planets in Pandora, promising a water-effects laden thrill ride. You’ll be able to see the water coming at your face. In your mouth. All of it up in your mouf.

This would put a hold on Cameron’s plans to construct a giant laser to try to take over the world with all of that Hollywood money. You know he would.
