It’s officially official. Apple is finally dipping their toe into the pool that is Verizon.
That stellar seller, the iPad, is coming to Verizon Wireless stores on October 28. Just to be sure that I state it–the iPad will also be available in AT&T stores on the same date. Let the competitive ad campaigns begin. Celebrity spokespeople cleverly mocking other coverage plans, Internet speeds and maps. Gotta have the maps. And why do we care about this?
I think it would be so sweet to see technology on the fritz. Nearly all of it. It would be highly entertaining to see so many people run around like headless chickens coming to the realization that they’re completely dependent on electrical circuitry.
Digressing.
Price points. That’s what you wanna know, yeah?
You get the goods of Verizon WiFi and MiFi, and the 16GB starts at $629.99, 32GB $729.99 and 64GB $829.99.
Clearly this is just a beginning of the relationship between Apple and Verizon, and who knows what the future holds–then again, Wal-Mart is now carrying Apple product, so I suppose the Verizon introduction is just another of the fruit company’s bids to take over the world. The Verizon iPhone rumor has been floating for nearly three years now, and perhaps it may actually happen in the not too distant future. Only Steve Jobs knows. Seriously.
Just out of curiosity, who’s heading to Verizon to score the iPad?
