Daft Punk is one of the greatest bands to be assembled in the history of anywhere. They fused house together with song structures that weren’t more boring than your families’ vacation stories.
And now they’ve gone done and scored one of the most anticipated movies of the last few decades – the sequel to Tron. Tron: Legacy. Snippets of the film’s score have leaked online and as you probably expected, they make you want to either dance or punch somebody in the face. It’s a nice little amalgamation, reminiscent of the theme from Inception that Hans Zimmer’s protégé cooked up. And in order to promote the new movie, Disney’s going to host screenings of the first 20 minutes of the film.
So get yourself excited for twenty minutes of Tron, scored by everyone’s favorite pretend French robots. Or the fact that you’re going to see Olivia Wilde in a skin-tight bodysuit. Those words should be enough to get most of middle America to buy a ticket to see Tron, and if it doesn’t, then I’m not going to pretend like we’re friends.
Seriously. Olivia Wilde in a bodysuit. Being scored by Daft Punk. With Jeff Bridges. Why are you still sitting here?
