New Back To The Future Footage With Eric Stoltz Released

Special edition release DVD’s? Where we’re going, we don’t need special edition release DVD’s.

Or we actually do. If you’re a child of the 80’s, with good taste, chances are you hold Back to the Future in the highest esteem. It’s a classic movie, endlessly watchable, and has more stories behind the production than, say, Broadcast News. One of which? The original actor cast as Marty McFly wasn’t Michael J. Fox, it was Eric Stoltz. And he was unceremoniously fired five weeks into the production by director Robert Zemeckis after Steven Speilberg thought that their main actor wasn’t getting as many laughs as they needed to.

Think of how painful that was for Eric Stoltz, after Michael J. Fox became a household name, with a long and storied career behind him. And Eric just wound up starring in a movie about a guy with a big head.

You’ll be able to find the resurrected footage in the new special edition Back To The Future DVD set that’ll be hitting your stores and galaxy very soon.

Personally, I can’t wait to be terrorized by Tom Wilson all over again. What does he do now? Does he walk around, yelling at children? I would.

I do that already. Now I need a hoverboard.
