Hey, remember that show Punk’d? The show that helped Ashton Kutcher maintain some semblance of celebrity whilst fulfilling America’s basic schadenfreude towards their celebrities?
Well, guess who’s going to take over hosting duties – someone whose level of douche is basically on par with Kutcher’s. Justin Bieber. Celebrities are going to be Punk’d by Justin Bieber. Only one problem – Ashton Kutcher was pretty likable, despite hosting Punk’d. In two years, nobody’s going to like Justin Bieber. He’s pretty insufferable as is, appearing on shows and claiming that nobody speaks German in America, how he wants to date Kim Kardashian and Chelsea Handler – and now clamoring for Robert Pattinson to be his wingman.
Seriously. If you’re too douchey to host Punk’d – the king douche show, you should probably catapult yourself into a bayou. Ashton Kutcher will remain a producer on the show, and probably make millions of dollars based off the morbid curiosity and stifled sexual arousal of teenage girls and middle America. Were we really missing Punk’d that badly? Was MTV’s schedule really that wanting for celebrities getting fooled?
It’s not hard to make celebrities irritated. Just deny them entrance to a hot event, then watch the histrionics.
This’ll be a trainwreck. I’m watching.
