Lil’ Wayne Moved To Solitary

By Mark Lorenz on October 5th, 2010

Lil Wayne has the number one rap album out on iTunes right now – I Am Not A Human. The album should be titled I Am Not Allowed With The General Prison Population, because right now, Weezy’s having a time in Riker’s.

Note that I’m in no way advocating harsh treatment for Weezy. If he was a white, waifish socialite, he’d probably not get any prison time whatsoever, even if he possessed guns, drugs, and an illegal Haitian child-slave to do all of his yardwork. But because he’s a gangsta rapper who claims that he commits crimes consistently — despite shooting himself at the age of 12 — he merits extra scrutiny from law enforcement.

Who happened to find a dreaded MP3 player stashed away in the corner of his cell….wait a minute. An MP3 player? That’s what will land you in solitary confinement these days, not stabbing another inmate with a shank you fashioned out of bic pens? I’m at a loss. Apparently Weezy had an MP3 player hidden in a bag of chips in the trash, and now he’s in solitary for month – ostensibly for listening to beats that he’d later be rapping on.

Is it fair? Not really. Jail Paris. Free Weezy. All he’s going to do is spit some nonsense and drink that sizzurp.
