If you’ve ever enjoyed the musical or television stylings of DJ Pauly D, hold on to your hat. You’re about to get a dosing of Pauly D you’ll never forget. At the expense of the original cast.
They’re going to break up the cast of Jersey Shore to try to start up a reality show starring Pauly D. I don’t really know what they’re expecting Pauly D to provide in terms of entertainment – I think he’s a better foil for other characters than one that instigates conflicts and weirdness on his own. Actually, of all the people in the Jersey Shore house, Pauly D seems to be the most normal one. Every other one wants to either wife every girl that they see, are way too into themselves, or have no idea how to socially interact without drama.
The program is currently being shopped around Los Angeles, and is being pitched as a show that’ll follow Pauly D around as he DJ’s various spots, interacting with people who are mildly impressed with D-List celebrities.
Personally, I think “The Situation” has a much better shot of having a spin-off. Or Snooki and JWoww, if they’re transplanted into a situation that they’d never encounter.
