Jeff Zucker Leaves NBC

By Mark Lorenz on September 24th, 2010

After years of running NBC into the ground, Jeff Zucker has decided to leave. Amicably. Amazingly, without being fired, demoted, or having a blight on his otherwise disastrous record.

For those of you who are unaware of who Jeff Zucker is – consider yourself lucky. His claim to fame is that he added live music performances to The Today Show – and was then promoted through the ranks at NBC. His other claim to fame is that he was in charge of the Conan O’Brien debacle where Conan was let go, despite being promised an extended contract, and replaced with Jay Leno – whose ratings promptly tanked. Jeff Zucker and Ben Silverman left behind a track record of failure, with hundreds of shows created, and barely any sticking around. The ones that did, 30 Rock, The Office, Community, and Parks and Rec, are barely getting ratings – despite being brilliantly written and sweeping awards shows.

But historically, Zucker will be best known as the man who took NBC from the network that brought you Friends, Frasier, and Seinfeld, to the man that brought you the remakes of the Bionic Woman, Knightrider, and various other shlockfests.

Seriously. The Bionic Woman. Zucker will not be missed, unless someone out there is used to rubbing his bald head for luck.

Don't have money to buy some real estate? Worry no more, just because it's real to take the mortgage loans to solve all the problems. So take a car loan to buy all you want.
