Inception Videogame Coming In The Distant Future

By Mark Lorenz on September 22nd, 2010

If you played a part in Inception’s incredible run at the box-office, either worldwide or domestically, give yourself a pat on the back. You have supported somewhat original ideas that will result in people making less McMovies.

McMovies are those movies that you’ve seen a hundred times – teachers teaching the unteachable. Sports teams winning unwinnable games against unbeatable odds. Or anything that involves a competition where dancers have to save a venue. Or fighters have to save a venue. You know what I mean. Inception took an original idea, a 200 million dollar + original idea, transformed that into two hours and twenty minutes of compelling, and now that has brought in more than 700 million dollars at the worldwide box office. So Christopher Nolan’s last movies have breached the billion dollar mark, and the other one will probably make that much when you factor in television deals and DVD’s.

So congratulations to Christopher Nolan, one of the last original voices and minds that we have in film – who refuses to make movies about people with their precious sweaters.

The next step? Nolan wants to release a videogame based off Inception. I’d be in full support of it, as long as every menu screen plays that bass-heavy foghorn sound.

Play game? BRAHHHHHHHHM.

Save game? BRAHHHHHHHHM.

You’ve died. BRAHHHHHHHHM.

Who’s your favorite composer? BRAHHHHHHHHHM.
