Turn Your Cat Into A Humidifier

By Mark Lorenz on September 17th, 2010

If there’s one thing that people don’t do enough of, it’s enslaving their cats.

For years, cats have had it all cushy – being a hilarious diversion to the clearly superior dogs, sitting around the house, being independent, and wreaking slight amounts of adorable havoc, but what if you wanted them to work for you? What if you wanted to your cats to sew shirts for you, or possibly clean up the house or your laundry?

You can’t make your cats do that, you crazy person. They’re cats. Not your own personal work-slaves. They’re not like children where you can dress them up and re-enact key battles in the civil war and not lose your tenure at the local public school. But what if you wanted your cats to humidify your house? Again, you’re a crazy person. But so are the other people who have invented such technology.

It’s called the Wool Ball, a motion-powered, ball-shaped humidifier that gets activated when the cat pushes it. So basically, somebody has taken the idea of a hamster running in his wheel to power their house and applied it to cats and humidifiers. Anything that’s cat powered you can invest in. If they invented a cat-powered car, I’d be all over it like catnip.

SCIENCE.
