Jenny Slate Booted Off SNL

By Mark Lorenz on September 7th, 2010

Saturday Night Live has hired new cast members, which means that they’ll be unceremoniously dropping the old ones like bad habits and drug problems. Because that’s what Saturday Night Live does.

Speaking of which, if anybody can name a classic sketch that SNL has put on the air in the last decade, I will pay you a thousand dollars. If anything is comparable to what they put on the air in the McKay/Fey years, I will pay you a thousand dollars, eat whatever objects that are inedible around me, and then set myself on fire. At the same time. Because you can’t. Because SNL is where unknown talent goes to die amongst the mightiness of Bill Hader and occasionally Andy Samberg.

Jenny Slate is being given the axe, and if you can remember who she was in the last year, again, I will do hyperbolic things that will bring damage to my body and my neighbors. She was most notable for saying the F-Word live on air – then puffing her cheeks up and letting them deflate, defeatedly. Literally, that was her contribution to the run of the show.

If they could axe Chris Elliot’s daughter next, and replace the entire cast with people from the UCB Theater or IO in Chicago, that would be awesome.

this article is not only rude but also completely wrong. Just because some people cant appreciate modern humor and are stuck in the seventies, doesnt mean that saturday night live has diminished any quality-wise in the more recent years. Shame on the author for being so closed minded!
