People In The Pentagon Are Looking At Child Porn….?!

And no, this is not a sensationalist headline.

The Pentagon is known as the pinnacle of western defense. If there’s anything out there that’s going to stop terrorists, it’s a five-sided building in Arlington, Virgina.

What is it not in the press for? Purchasing piles and piles of child pornography. Literally, piles of child pornography. Apparently, if there’s a market for people buying pictures of people who look like Dora the Explorer having sex, it’s the Pentagon. And that’s really, really disgusting. An investigation by the 2006 Immigration and Customs Enforcement Investigation has uncovered more than 250 civilian military employees of the DEFENSE DEPARTMENT – which includes people with security clearance – who used their own personal credit cards or PayPal accounts to purchase pictures of underage people engaged in sexual encounters.

In a related story, the Pentagon’s Criminal Investigative Service did a bunch of cross-checking to see which of their employees were engaging in the internet’s grossest pastime, and though that investigation turned up names, only a handful of them were prosecuted.

There are no words to express how badly I am shocked and appalled. A new one would probably have to be invented. What’s it mean when our military brass and people with security clearance can get a pass for DL’ing the worst material available over the internet?

It means 2012 is coming.
