Match.com Releases The Best Cities To Date Online

By Mark Lorenz on September 3rd, 2010

Are you sick of going around to the bar scene, meeting women that you might like, but don’t necessarily have that much in common with?

Would you rather bridge the gap that an activity like that would take, take less time meeting women, and work on your dating skills? Then the wonderful world of eDating may be the thing for you. What I love about eDating is the results it gives you. You can either find the man of your dreams, or Chris Hansen. Who could be the man of your dreams. Match.com has released their list of the best cities to live in for online dating, and weirdly enough, they’re most of the cities with the most popping nightlife in the entire country.

Which means that people are not going out and socializing, they are instead staying inside and typing at their computer, chained to the idea of having a soulmate. You may not have a soulmate. And if you did, and subscribe to the idea that everything has souls, it might be trapped in the body of something that’s not human. Like a praying mantis. Your soulmate may be a praying mantis.

The best cities for internet contact?

Miami, New York, and Los Angeles.

GO OUTSIDE, PEOPLE.

NYC? Really? Maybe in quantity alone, but not in terms of quality. At least not if you're looking to get serious. Instead of online dating, a lot more of my colleagues are signing up for matchmaking services like Richard Easton and co. Everyone is busy and on the go, so it makes sense to have someone make introductions rather than to scour a website by yourself. Especially when you're looking for someone to come home to, not necessarily to meet up with. With the pace of a city like New York, that's what you need.
