Conan O’Brien Announces Name of New Show (Watch!)

In just a few short months, Conan O’Brien will once again be legally permitted to be funny on television.  Today, the bearded talk show host ended months of speculation that his new show will be called… CONAN!  (Or possibly Conaw, but that just doesn’t have the same ring to it.)

Watch as Conan talks about his new show below!

“It’s simple, pure, like the guy himself,” O’Brien joked in the video, noting that he still has the beard and “a pretty crappy office.”

Conan’s new show will premier November 8th – yes, this November – at 11/10 PM Central time, on TBS.

The late night host previously spent 17 years at NBC, first hosting “Late Show” and recently, “Tonight” but left when NBC decided to bump his show to a later time slot in order to make room for Jay Leno, who handed over the gig to Conan just seven months earlier.

After his departure Conan said, “Every comedian, every comedian dreams of hosting the Tonight Show and – for seven months – I got to do it.  I did it my way, with people I love, and I do not regret a second [of it]… Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get.  But if you work really hard and you’re kind, amazing things will happen.”
