50 Cent can be by turns sensitive and hilarious. And he proved it this weekend, with a visit to his grandmother’s house.
First off, I have no idea what 50 Cent is doing, media-wise, other than trying to be a movie star. And that is a bad idea for rappers. Somehow Ice Cube is pulling it off, although in any other time period, a placard or marquis that reads starring Ice Cube would be a vaudeville act – and in that regard, not much has changed. But 50 has started up his own production company to make movies that apparently nobody is seeing – which is a bold move. Financing movies that nobody sees is one of the most dangerous investments to make – way more risky than making music with beats for practically no overhead.
But this weekend, he went to his grandma’s house, and she apparently made him take out the garbage. Which infuriated him because he’s rich, and he complained on Twitter, then threatened to smack the next person on the street he saw on Twitter.
I don’t care what anyone says, smacking people on Twitter is completely street. It’s the next slangin’ fishscale. Also, how gangsta is 50’s Grandma, that she can force him to take out the trash to the point where he’s stewing about it for days?
