If your brain temporarily shut down and you weren’t able to arrive at a decision, guess what? You’re just like me. You don’t know whether the greatest threat to our freedom is the monetizing and promotion of vapid talent contests as artistic endeavors, or people who try to put bombs in their shoes and try to pilot large vessels into buildings. Thankfully, you don’t have to think about it too hard – because the two have come together.

A man who appeared on the Canadian incarnation of American Idol turned up in the news, for auditioning poorly to be a terrorist. By getting caught by the Canadian 5-0. Khurram Syed Sher was arrested as part of a Canadian plot to make improvised explosive devices and hoarding circuit boards that could be fashioned into remote control triggers. What should he actually be arrested for? Being entertaining on Canadian television. He went on Canadian Idol in 2008 to perform a song, worked the crowd, and wore a traditional outfit.

So this prompts the question, do you think that harsh critiques on melismas lead to terrorism? Or does terrorism come before song?

And if so, we need singing terrorists.
