Roger Federer Trick Shot: Real or Fake? (Watch)

Roger Federer is making headlines today after a YouTube video of him knocking a metal can off a guy’s head with an impeccable serve has gone viral.

We all know Roger is one of the most talented and skilled tennis players in the world but can he really be THIS good?

Many are skeptical about the legitimacy of the trick. That’s right, they’re calling Roger Federer a liar (or at least implying that the video was digitally enhanced to make the shot look real)!

But seriously, let’s call a spade a spade; this trick shot just seems a little too good to be true.

When asked about his immaculate shots, the pro tennis player only fuelled speculation that the trick wasn’t real:

“A magician doesn’t tell how his tricks work,” he told the Associated Press.

  1. it most certainly real. do you have any idea how many serves that man has made over his carreer during training and marathon matches? it’s like asking Drew Brees to throw a pass and knock a can off someone’s head with a football – i bet either of them could do this with their eyes closed. he’s being coy about tricks – muscle memory people.

  2. Could Roger knock a can off someone’s head? Absolutely. Probably 9 times out of 10 because his serve is that accurate. But would you want to be the guy with the bottle on your head thinking this might be the 1 time in 10 he gets it wrong?

  3. Absolutely fake

  4. If this shot was real than Federer would have directly said that it was real, but I doubt that Federer would risk hitting the ball like that, he could have hit the guy’s face with that powerful serve. Plus, the ball looks too bright to be real.
